This beautiful Spanish colonial sculpture is from circa late 1700 to early 1800 hundreds , in wood and stucco it is completely painted with very vibrant colors in a stunning and elaborated outfit on a Baroque style base ,the use of gold give to the piece a very successful filing of luxury, the virgin is holding the christ in her arms , we can see lots of love in the expressions and also the position of the bodies , the eyes in glass gives even a bigger impression in the faces .Wonderfull and strong in style of Spanish colonial art you can t get better , sophisticated mix between a certain naive way of representing and a very elaborated way via clothing and hair that is surprising and very well made , , sign of a high quality piece it is decorated both side .
