Remarkable antique terracotta relief sculpture of monumental scale having intricate decorative and figural imagery throughout. Ornate scrolls with foliate ornament wind through the work, some terminating in floral or vine motifs. At the base, two dragons flank large ¨S¨ scrolls which, in turn, support a jovial male figure with a swag draped from his shoulders and a vessel of fruit overhead. Above this, a pair of gryphons flank a pedestal and medallion containing a fleur-de-lis, and heraldic shield with palmette above adorns the top.
