Augusto Murer, Woman In The Sun No.3, Bronze, 1975

Chairish

$3,138

Augusto Murer was one of the most significant Italian sculptors of the second half of the 20th century, with a wide artistic production linked to themes of civil commitment, but also to the search for the profound meaning of human experience. He was born in 1922 in Falcade, to which Murer always remained attached and where he held his own atelier. For the entire period up to the 1980s, Murer received important commissions for the creation of monuments and civil works, in which his effective expressionistic realism stands out. The sculpture in question, number 3, represents a seated female figure and is cast in 25 examples. Made in bronze in 1975, the work is signed “A. Murer 75” in the right leg of the figure. Archived at the Augusto Murer Museum Archive of Falcade (BL), with archive number 103/scu - year 2024. The sculpture is in a good state of conservation. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
