Bittosi Nero Lucido Sculpture By Nathalie Du Pasquier

Nathalie Du Pasquier designed a collectionof three vases for Bitossi, in 2004. Thevases are bottle‑shaped and composedof stackable elements. The formal andchromatic research is closely linked to herpainting. Using the lathe technique, thevases were glazed with different coloursthat alternate with a selection of polishesand matte. This collection was reissuedin 2018 as a limited edition of 299 pieces.Grandi Ceramiche is the latest collectionthat was unveiled in 2018. The projectexplores a pictorial investigation thatforms a distinctive feature of the artist’sworks. The exhibition features large,three‑dimensional elements with verticaldevelopment, clad in contrasting glazesalternating between glossy and matte.The sculptures are made using the lathetechnique, combining various interlockingcomponents. The project was initiatedin 2018.
