Bronze-Colored Seal Sculpture

Both imposing and delicate, this life-like profile of a seal with smooth volumes and a striking bronze finish is crafted entirely by Daniele Nannini as part of a series of elegant animal sculptures. The piece is made of white clay that is hollowed out to obtain a thickness of 1 cm and subsequently sanded down to highlight its natural curves and volumes. After a firing in the kiln, the artist finished the piece with a coat of black tempera and a glossy finish using colored wax.
