Ceramic Sculpture Amulet "Dido Mezhydub" By Makhno Studio

DIDO is a series of unique art objects by MAKHNO ceramic studio that follows and develops the traditions of Ukrainian zoomorphic sculpture, a unique monument of decorative and applied art with a thousand-year history dating back to Trypillia.Didos are characters of Ukrainian folklore, good spirits who help people, show them the right way and ward off evil. Since ancient times, Dido figurines have served as amulets for the ancient Ukrainians, kept in the house as good luck charms and guardians against dark forces. Each Dido is responsible for its own sphere of existence.
