Hand crafted in Normandy, France circa 1920, and built of concrete, the tall birds stand on a rectangle stone-like base with real sea shells molded into the base. The body of the cranes are supported with two straight legs attached to the base. The important sculptures are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a wonderful weathered and patinated painted finish throughout; it is primarily white, with black plumage, a orange beak and gray base.
