Chairish

Designed by contemporary artist, Fernando Mastrangelo, for Edward Fields and produced by Tai Ping, this Linea I 100% wool rug is from the Reverence Edition. With a fade/linear in the natural colors of the beach and ocean, this hand tufted, brand new wool 8' x 9' carpet currently retails for $8200. This rug is brand new and still in the original packaging from the mill. This lot was acquired as an inventory overrun. These are not seconds. Designed by Fernando Mastrangelo, rugs of this quality can usually only be found in high end showrooms such as The Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles. "Fernando Mastrangelo is a Brooklyn-based contemporary artist best known for his sculptures, furniture and large-scale wall works by using typically commonplace materials such as salt, coffee, sand, glass and cement. When casting cement, Mastrangelo creates beautiful “pour lines” to transform the cement into what looks like natural stone, often with colour gradients. Línea translates this layered language into carpet. This design is expertly tufted by skilled artisans." "Edward Fields is known for unparalleled design, quality and craftsmanship, its extraordinary custom capabilities have made it a trade secret among American designers for decades. Located in architectural landmarks and notable private residences - from the Glass House by Philip Johnson to the White House in Washington, DC - Edward Fields rugs are found in the most prestigious locations worldwide and continue to be specified by designers for contemporary projects." "Tai Ping collaborates with each client to help them realise their vision of a perfect interior. Bringing creativity and personal or brand expression to life, Tai Ping carpets can be found in many of the world’s most prestigious residential and commercial settings, including some of the most celebrated hospitality spaces ever created."
