The theme represented in this bronze sculpture is that of motherhood: the face of a mother is represented and, placed under her chin, the face of her daughter, still a child. The expression of the two figures with their eyes closed gives this work a great sweetness and delicacy of maternal love that surrounds the entire sculpture. The bronze rests on a rectangular base, in the lower part of the work there is the signature of the artist Francesco Falcone and the dating of the work, 1927. The sculpture is in dark patina bronze, the construction technique used is that of bronze casting, for this reason the back is hollow.
