French vintage bust of an anonymous Greco-Roman lady in larger-than-life scale, her noble likeness rendered in chalk-white plaster. Her hair is pulled high on her head, bound by a laurel leaf crown that enhances the slender face and neck which merges with the square pedestal base to display this work on nearly any surface. The artist’s delicate touch with the medium is evident throughout the plaster, left raw and undecorated for the viewer to project their own ideas of who she was and how she may have looked beyond the stoic features captured here. There is one small hole on the back of the scalp; please view the detailed images to see the current condition as they are an essential part of the description. Base: 8” W x 8” D
