In 1965, Alexander Girard was commissioned to design an interior concept for the New York City restaurant, La Reserve, following his successful collaboration with La Fonda del Sol. Though La Reserve never opened, two playful figures he designed for the project were brought to life by Vitra. Modeled after original drawings, Bull and Mermaid Silhouettes highlight the joy and spontaneity that Girard brought to all his work.
