Large Mid Century Italian ceramic sculpture depicting a standing Napoleonic era grenadier (over 40 inches high). Very detailed with a thick hard glaze. Apparently, originally a stand for a floor lamp (see photos of backside). Weighty and substantial ( approximately 49 lbs.). Unsigned. A couple minor losses and an old repair to pompom on shako (see photos).
