Antique Marly horses based on the massive marble horses created by Guillaume Coustou in 1743–1745 and commissioned by Louis XV of France for the trough at the entrance to the grounds of his château de Marly. These large statues were cast in brass and varnished on wood bases. c. late 19th century Dimensions: 13.5"w x 6.25"d x 17.25"h, each weighing approx. 8 lbs.
