Abstract brass sculpture created by Lyse Oudoire in France in the 1970s. A French artist and sculptor active during the 1960s and 1970s, Lyse Oudoire developed a body of work exploring geometric forms and the balance of volumes, often working in polished or patinated metal. The composition rests on a rectangular base supporting two openwork cubic volumes, balanced on a delicate metal structure. The interplay of cutouts and masses creates an architectural effect between void and matter, accentuated by the warm reflections of the polished brass. France, circa 1970.
