Male portrait bust in white marble, 19th century period, second half, bourgeois style Second Empire or Third Republic.The subject represents a middle-aged man, finely sculpted curly beard and mustache, wavy hair with traces of gilding at the top. The sculpted outfit includes a lapel jacket and a pussy-bow tie with precisely crafted pleats. The anatomical rendering is careful: ears, wrinkles and solemn expression testify to quality execution. The bust rests on a circular base in gray veined marble, itself placed on a rotating column in dark wood.Workshop observation: some localized gaps in the beard, wear spots on the surface of the marble and slight crack visible at the base. Surface cleaning to be expected. Sold as is.Dimensions: H. 60 cm – L. 35 cm – Weight: 60 kg.
