Medusa Sculpture

Painstakingly crafted by the expert hands of Venetian master glassmakers, this sculpture in Murano glass is distinguished by a bold yet ethereal silhouette comprised of two piled, rock-like volumes. The larger one incorporates a vibrant, blue-toned element reminiscent of a jellyfish ("medusa" in Italian), an effect achieved by combining deft blowing steps using the traditional "sommerso" technique.
