Original unique Mid Century sculpture in clay or terra cotta, with greenish, bronze patina-like color, 11 1/2" by 6" by 6", mounted on a black 3" high base, signed on the sculpture "E. BARR", not dated but likely circa 1960's. I cannot to date find information on the artist but he/she was certainly a talent who was familiar with modern giants like Henry Moore, Jacques Lipchitz, Alexander Archipenko and others who worked in this manner, simplifying and glorifying the human form. This piece looks important and will be an asset to your modern interior. The greenish worked and glazed surface is most complex and attractive. Note the deep grooving in the clay. Condition is excellent save for just a very small chipping in the grooved "hair".
