Large Southeast Asian bronze devotional sculpture from the 1950s, executed with exceptional detail and presence. The figure is portrayed kneeling in a traditional wai / prayer gesture, richly adorned with ornate headdress, jewelry, and ceremonial costume. The quality of the casting is remarkably high, with finely worked decorative details throughout — particularly visible in the crown, shoulder ornaments, and flowing hair at the back. The sculpture carries a beautiful aged patina in deep bronze and verdigris tones, contrasted by original gilded highlights that give the piece a warm and striking character. An impressive and substantial piece measuring 118 cm in height and weighing approximately 40 kg. Likely inspired by Thai or Cambodian temple art traditions of the mid-20th century. The sculpture remains in very good vintage condition with age-related patina and wear consistent with time.
