A sculpture by pino signoretto, characterized by a strong sculptural component and refined glasswork. the blown glass face features a slightly textured surface with a watery green hue, penetrated by light that enhances its transparency and depth. a distinctive element of the work is the presence of openings at the eyes and mouth, transforming the face into an open structure, creating a direct dialogue between interior and exterior and accentuating the relationship between fullness and emptiness. from the top, "hair" emerges, made of metal threads embedded in the glass and then colored by hand, introducing a dynamic and energetic, almost radiant dimension. a blue glass element is applied to the center of the forehead, while the sculpture is supported by an oxidized metal structure with a simple, sculptural design. a work that combines technique and concept: the interplay of voids, metal inclusions, and light transforms the face into a symbolic and dynamic presence, capable of dialoguing with the surrounding space. Measures 62 x 27 cm. pino signoretto (1944–2017) was one of murano's most important glass masters, known for his extraordinary technical skill and his ability to innovate the glassmaking tradition. Throughout his career, he collaborated on glass works for leading international artists, including salvador dalí, arnaldo pomodoro, and emilio vedova, helping to bring glass into a fully sculptural dimension.
