A metal sculptor, Carolyn bases her art on found objects, mostly scrap metals, wood and stone. In a modernist way her pieces are both representative and abstract. Her emphasis on the natural and spiritual emanatefrom her foundation as a grounds maintenance/ garden expert with a great knowledge of flora and fauna and their habitats. She enjoys working in her home surrounded by nature and the forest and the frog pond she has created. In some of her creations she has collaborated with other artist, painters or weavers with whom she finds a connection. Her pieces are in a "�natural found state"� with no polishing or enhancement to achieve patina, she is the ultimate recycle/upcycle artist. A founding member of "œArtstock"� artist studio tour, a countywide organization of local artist, Carolyn fights for artist and their cause to inform and beautify the world. Carolyn has also shown her work in the Tri-state Sculptor Shows and is a member of the Greensboro NC artist league. She is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Natural History, this is where she took her welding classes.
