Celebrating the poetic allure of the beloved Little Prince novel, this sculpture was conceived as a unique wedding gift. Master artist Alessandro Rametta created a complex structure in low and high-relief based on personal experimentations in the hand-forging process. The prince, fox, and rose to symbolize care and love in this one-of-a-kind piece handcrafted in iron, brass, and copper using the repoussage technique, hammering, inclusion in copper and brass, with free-hand-made spreader-beam, and burnished effects obtained with the open flame. The varnish is in thermosetting powder. The image depicts a work already realized and does not represent the sculpture that will be forged on commission. The freehand sculptural process of Maestro Alessandro Rametta makes each work, although reproducible, unique and unrepeatable.
