White Crackle Raku fired glazed pregnant lady sculpture. This figurative sculpture was made from a combination of white stoneware and porcelain clay. This enables the piece to be fired to a high temperature very fast, thus allowing the piece to withstand the thermal shock. The piece is taken out of the kiln when it is red hot and glowing, and placed in sawdust for reduction. If everything goes to plan variations of color and wonderful crackles will appear. Although we never know what’s coming out of the sawdust, the results are always worth waiting for. Measures: 7" W x 6" D x 6 3/4" H
