Beautiful stone statue designed and produced by Renato Bassoli in 1955, of fine Italian manufacture. The statue is made of natural dark stone, very beautiful. The statue would appear to impersonate a soldier on a tombstone; he holds his arm folded over his stomach, as if he had been injured in the war. The face is almost unrecognisable, grimacing in bitterness, probably caused by thoughts of war. The statue is signed under the base. A beautiful collector's piece!
