Richard Kozlow - Joseph, 1996 White Cast Resin Modern Sculpture 44" X 30" X 26.5

Chairish

$3,000

A monumental modern white cast resin sculpture titled "Joseph" by American artist Richard Kozlow. Created and exhibited in 1996. Direct from the artist's estate. Dimensions: 44"h x 30"w x 26.5"w. In good vintage condition. The work depicts a cloaked, abstracted figure seated in quiet contemplation, its smooth, flowing surfaces emphasizing serenity and timelessness. The simplified contours and absence of facial detail allow the piece to transcend literal representation, evoking universal themes of spirituality, protection, and human presence. Kozlow's mastery of abstraction and form is evident in the balance between monumentality and intimacy, making Joseph a powerful example of his sculptural practice. Richard Kozlow (1926-2008) was a celebrated American painter and sculptor whose career spanned more than five decades. His work was exhibited in over 100 solo and group shows, including major exhibitions at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Smithsonian Institution.
