A rather magnificent sculpture of a Japanese Crab, made of bronze that has gained patina over it's 40 or so years. At 11" wide it's one of the larger one's we have see. The shell is a lovely rich bronze colour whilst the legs and carapace tend towards black. The shell is impressed. These were used as tabletop decorations in Japan known as Okimono. These days the crab would suit a beach house, a window by the sea! Age: Mid 20th. Century, Japanese Listed by East2West Furniture Florida.
