Terre Savana Sculpture

Nature and art come together in a unique sculpture by ROU Materiaal where a section of salvaged elm wood reveals its inner secrets and raw, primitive beauty finding a new life in a modern and contemporary home. Through a combination of techniques that enhance natural veins or imperfections with others that give a more contemporary texture, the surface is treated with clear epoxy resin and painted by hand with acrylic colors to obtain a breathtaking texture reminiscent of rocks eroded by the sun, sands, and water. The raw materials used in the manufacturing process differ every time, consequently, there may be natural variations that are not to be considered product flaws.
