Ulf Tikkanen Great Crested Grebe Bronze Bird Sculpture, 1960s

A beautiful bronze sculpture by Finnish artist Ulf Tikkanen who was famous for his depiction of birds. The sculpture is of a family of a Great Crested Grebe and it's chicks. Beautifully patinated and signed to the back. This sculpture was later made also as a porcelain one.Ulf Tikkanen 1920-1969 was a Finnish sculptor who was mostly known for his bird sculptors. He was the student of one of the most famous Finnish sculptors and later became his colleague and worked along side him. He has several public sculptures in Helsinki and other Finnish cities.
