NO ADHESIVES 2,500 sheets of hand folded paper. Tedious innovative geometric aesthetic art. This one of a kind origami sculpture is symmetrical from all 12 edges, 6 surfaces, and 8 corners. The design is essentially a spherical form created through 12 identical abstract cubic forms, each consisting of dozens of cubes that intersect and sit parallel to one another. Each of these individual forms has a concretely defined geometric formula and the application of mirroring a dozen of these smaller structures in this specific manner results in the finished product. Upon completion I applied by hand a polycrylic enamel overcoat to ensure long term durability and handling ability. A monochromatic finish emphasizes the overall design and illuminates the geometric shapes.
