Ibexes were favorite subjects of both Art Deco and Hollywood Regency sculptors who, simultaneously, valued exotic animals and geometric shapes. Our specimen is sculpted in a faceted, angular, naturalistic style that traces a continuous line from his nose to the tips of both horns. The smooth, impasto surface highlights his very large, dramatically sectioned horns.
