Vintage brutalist, industrial cattail sculpture welded from iron and steel found objects. This work dates from the mid- to late-20th century. Cattails were a common sculptural subject in Mid-Century decorative arts, such as in the work of Curtis Jere. This work is signed by the artist on an applied tag “TP / M 560”. It has a wonderful raw gray and blackened patina, and its condition is very good. From an estate. See photos. H: 20” W: 6.5” D: 5”
