The figure is carved in an elongated, twisting form with simplified features that echo post-war modernist abstraction rather than traditional ethnographic carving. The continuous, tapering lower body has a flowing, almost mermaid-like profile while remaining firmly in the decorative, export-market tradition of mid–late 20th century Southeast Asian workshops. The surface shows a rich, dark patina with visible age and use. There are scattered scratches, small abrasions, and handling marks throughout, consistent with a vintage floor sculpture that has been moved and enjoyed over time.
