About 18th century Spanish walnut marquetry bureau. This is an exquisite antique Spanish bureau, circa 1780 in date this elegant bureau will soon become the centrepiece of your furniture collection and can suitably house your most valued collectibles. An Spanish walnut bureau with flap dating back to the second half of 18th century. Five deep drawers and a fall-front opening to reveal a fitted interior with four small drawers and hiding secrets (see pictures below). This antique bureau is fully decorated with veneered and solid walnut, cherry and maple veneer placed obliquely in a herringbone pattern, to form both on the sides and on the front, elegant opposite contrasts within inlaid frames. Great patina. Edges and profiles are originally decorated by hand-made jutting frames. It is in good age related condition.
