A country French Louis XVI cylinder front desk, early 19th century. On this desk, the cylinder front drops down at your convenience for your daily work. Small drawers appear at the top, within the interior, and in the lower portion as well. Part of the drama is an extraordinary inlaid panel of flowers set within the lid. All drawer faces feature incurvate panels with the drawers highlighted with brass ring pulls. Each side is paneled as well and all legs are fluted. Each terminates in carved cuffs. Desirable old finish. Two minor interior shelves have been removed.
