A rare and refined model 804 writing desk, designed by architect and designer Gianfranco Frattini for Casa Bernini in the early 1960s. This piece represents the perfect synthesis of refined wood craftsmanship and sophisticated mechanical design: it appears as an elegant chest of drawers, but with the simple gesture of extracting the writing surface, the shutter simultaneously opens to reveal an efficient workstation, complete with small drawers and a leather-covered top. The frame is made of walnut, paired with metal elements and glass on the top as an additional shelf. Thanks to the finished back with open shelves, the writing desk can also be placed in the center of a room, enhancing its dual function.
