American Chippendale slant front desk on four graduated drawers, on ogee bracket feet. The oxbow drawers are blocked at the corners which continues into the ogee bracket feet. The desk lid is a single board with bread board ends, and the sides are single board quartered mahogany. The four graduated drawers are fitted into cock beaded drawer openings with their original swan neck cast brass bails, rosettes & key escutcheons. The top drawer is flanked by the desk lid bearers, and the interior of the desk is centered on a square prospect drawer over a shallow drawer. The interior square drawer is flanked by pairs of pigeon holes and outer bank of three stacked drawers. The lower center drawer is flanked by shallow drawers below the pigeon hole compartments. The entire compartment is set back on a projecting row of three flanking shallow drawers. All the drawers retain their original cast brass knobs, and the desk lid retains is original brass hinges and half morticed lock.
