A mid-century Anglo-Indian rosewood secretary desk / vanity by the world renowned M. Hayat firm of Peshawar, Pakistan. In a rare fusion of cultures, this bespoke desk of drawers was fashioned in the 1960s by Hayat’s South Asian craftsmen to mimic the popular Danish modern style. It features an extending writing surface which lifts up to convert the unit into a vanity.Measures 17.75 deep when closed, 28.5" deep when desk top drawer is pulled open.The desk surface height is 28.75", and the surface measures 31" wide x 14.75" deep.
