Fine and rare 18th century Chinese Export rosewood padouk bureau on stand. Block front design with a cross banded fall-front with reading rest or writing desk opening, revealing a door with shelf and 4 drawers, and split carved baluster with "secret compartments". Above two large undulating drawers, the bureau seats on a stand with chamfered legs. Featuring swing carrying handles to the sides. Two original keys: one for the drop-leaf and one for the middle door.
