Very important parisian roll-top desk, charles x period, in mottled mahogany on all sides, circa 1820. upper panels in a beaded pattern. the front opens with two drawers, three doors, and a roll-top revealing a charming light wood interior with a sliding tray and a leather writing surface. two side shelves also covered in leather. gilt highlights on the roll-top panels, simulating marquetry. turned legs. a very fine piece of exceptional cabinetmaking. h 152 / w 131 / d 79 cm
