Highly column secretary around 1780 Object: column secretary Age: 1770- 1780 Origin: Probably Hanover Material: rosewood, amaranth, boxwood Nature and colored veneered on oak, original marble plate Gilded bronze shells original locks Height: 148 cm Width: 102 cm Depth: 53 cm Column secretary around 1780 Strict corpus with beveled corners resting on pointed feet with bronze balls. The furniture is divided into a drawer from top to bottom, writing flap (with small drawers behind it and storage compartment and Below two doors (with 4 drawers and storage compartment behind it). The entire furniture is in a fine quality with rosewood, amaranth and boxwood combined. In the writing flap front, there is also a braid loop in green -colored boxwood with engraving. The gray marble slab, including the fittings, are originally related to the furniture. The drawers are processed in the finest quality and the floors are folded into the French model. The furniture is similar to Dutch courtly comparison objects, but deviates in various design features and explanations. The elegant writing furniture in Germany-Hanover was probably made. The object described is a rare museum furniture, in a good state of conservation, with original fittings, marble plate and locks.
