A little on the shabbier side of chic, this painted vintage spinet desk evokes the hope of discovering an old letter nestled inside. It gives instant character, charm and a sense of history and romance to any space, and inspires you to imagine what was (or could be) written while sitting at it, perhaps in front of a window overlooking the sea... Probably dates to the 1920s-40s with a 1960's-70's refinish with cream paint and pale blue accents and updated painted floral ceramic pulls. Likely mahogany beneath the paint. Has a real lock but key has been lost to time. Some fading to the flip-top and sections of paint loss throughout. Vintage repairs to legs. Please review photos closely. Desk measures 42" wide by 18.75" deep and 34.5" high with the top closed. Overall measurements are 43.5" wide and 19.5" deep when including the extra room for the turned legs.
