A cherished traditional creation by Ethan Allen. This is from their circa 1776 collection. It is a maple drop lid, slant front secretary desk. It features solid wood, mortise & tenon construction with dovetailing. Has a wonderful wood grain, a lock but no key, solid brass hardware with batwing drawer pulls. There is one large drawer in the front. There are four stretchers, turned legs ending in blocks to ball feet and a scalloped skirt. The desk interior has six mail slots and three small drawers. Has the Ethan Allen mark. In near mint condition with period wear and patina consistent with age and use, but no damage or repairs. Please note the following item specifics: WEIGHT: 60lbs.
