The piece rests on cabriole legs embellished with bronze mounts and sabots. The desk is topped with a beautiful molded, veined red marble. The interior reveals a refined layout with four small drawers and a central niche, typical of ladies' writing desks designed for correspondence. French work in the Louis XV style, made at the end of the 19th century, in the style of Parisian cabinetmaking.
