This magnificent Louis XVI style solid mahogany guillotine secretary dating from the end of the 18th century is a true gem of cabinetmaking. Below, a drawer adorned with ring handles and a lock with entry adds a touch of elegance. The secretary part opens with a flap mounted on pivots. The interior of this flap, covered in green leather remade with a central gold motif and vignettes, gives access to six small drawers with brass buttons, one of which is compartmentalized, and a reserve opening via a door with lock. These elements are topped by four boxes, completing the storage offer. The lower part of this piece of furniture offers a shelf behind a double door with lock also original. The uprights of this secretary are attached fluted half-columns, ending in ringed spindle feet.
