A Louis XVI secretary desk, late 18th century. This piece, with its rounded and fluted uprights, features clover-shaped locks. The marble top is framed by an openwork bronze gallery. The drop-front is covered in leather decorated with wheel-tooled gilt. It is adorned with beautiful brass moldings. The interior contains seven drawers. There is a large drawer beneath the top. The lower section opens with two doors, revealing a large drawer and a storage compartment. This piece has been restored and French polished. Dimensions: 1.47m high, 0.91m wide, and 0.40m deep.
