Wooden wall secretaire with drop-off top desk, made in the 1950s. The design and workmanship of this secretaire is very reminiscent of the works of Marcel Gascoin made between 1949 and 1954 for ARha/ARECH, but it does not have any marks to be able to attribute it with certainty. See contemporary examples as per the last published image The secretaire has been partially restored: a gluing of the top in correspondence with the opening/closing pin. A grouting in the lower part of the top, a pictorial retouching on the left side and a general polishing in full respect of its original patina. The cabinet with the open top has an overall depth of 68.5 cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
