The bookmatched drop-front writing surface opens to reveal a beautifully appointed interior with four pigeonholes over two rows of small drawers. The exterior has two pull-out lopers to support the desk lid and two graduated drawers. The base frame houses a third expansive drawer, all having elegant, heavy brass batwing escutcheons and bail pulls. The piece has a scalloped apron with a central inverted heart cutout, all supported by classic Queen Anne cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. Constructed with premium hardwoods with fine dovetailing and pegged tenon joinery on the frame, this desk blends historic elegance with modern functionality.
