The Calais Semi-Flushmount from Visual Comfort Signature, formerly known as Visual Comfort, invites one’s imagination to fly away with a light-kissed group of delicate glass feathers. It’s a contemporary piece of functional sculpture. As if ascending towards the sky, the designs rest close to the ceiling with a low-profile canopy. The piece uses its wondrous glass display as a glare-stopping diffuser. Artisans arrange these feather-like diffusers by hand using a series of curling glass rods. Each rod holds crisp warm highlights. The lamping inside glazes the ceiling while sending down an atmospheric glow.
