To design this shelf, Nanna Aakjær Svendsen took inspiration from the work of her grandfather Jørgen Aakjær Jørgense, the founder of Møbelintarsia, which later became Intarsia Furniture. Featuring a classic chamfered border and a curved shape, the Arcus shelf adds a decorative accent to a wall while providing a convenient way to display and organize a variety of items. The raised edge has a functional aspect as well, keeping objects secure and ensuring they don’t roll over to the floor.
