Set of two wall shelves designed by Constant Niewenhuys for Assendelftse Metaalwarenfabriek from the 50s-60s. The shelves are made of metal lacquered in yellow and blue. These shelves were designed for a model home exhibited in the Bijenkorf in 1954 called 'color harmony in your home', which makes the shelves rare and collector items. Nieuwenhuys worked on this together with Gerrit Rietveld. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
