Like a hit of colour and transparency across your wall, the blash set of cast glass wall shelves is more sculptural element than an exercise in storage.‎ With its name derived from the urban slang for the splash of a puddle, its flowing curved form appears to have been stuck in mid flight.‎ The British designers behind Silo Studio have brought their experimental approach to industrial manufacturing into pieces that are rich in texture and colour – while deceptively simple in form and function.‎ Their cast glass structure leaves a textured and rippled appearance, further accentuating a sense of movement; a simple crease through the centre is all that is required to distinguish shelf from wall bracket.‎Each piece is created from coloured and cast glass.‎ Bubbles, streaks and other variations in size and colour are part of the production process, and not defects of the design or production.‎
